About Wright Furniture & Flooring
In 1937, Franklin D. Roosevelt was inaugurated for his second term as president, Daffy Duck debuted in his first animated short, and Carlos and Howard Wright opened Wright Furniture in downtown Hannibal, Missouri. Their dream was simple: to offer great quality furniture at everyday low prices. Their family-oriented way of doing business, along with their reputation for service after the sale, helped their business flourish through good times and bad.
Today, after over 80 years and three generations of the Wright family, the Wright way of doing business hasn't changed. In 2004 the third generation of the Wright family purchased Robinson's Furniture, another family-based store just down the highway in Bowling Green. To honor the founder of Wright Furniture, Howard Wright, the store was renamed Howard's.
The Wright family of furniture stores grew again in 2005 with the addition of Waters Furniture in Vandalia, Mo. Long known as "Missouri's LARGEST Small Town Furniture Store," the collection of furniture-filled buildings in downtown Vandalia was established by W.S. Waters in 1892. It became a landmark in Missouri, drawing savvy furniture buyers from as far away as St. Louis, Kansas City, Columbia, Jefferson City, Lake of the Ozarks, and even downstate Illinois.
At Wright Furniture & Flooring, today we continue the Wright commitment to treating our customers right. We remain the best value in Missouri by offering the biggest selection of quality furniture, always at the best price, and by providing great service and treating our customers like family. That's the Wright way.
